Growing a forest

I live in the uk and my family owns a field (about 1 hectare) that has a small area of trees and I’m wanting to expand it into a forest covering as much area as possible. I want to make it as wildlife friendly as possible and encourage as much life into the area. Does anyone have any suggestions on types of trees/ plants to introduce to the area or other things to encourage wildlife.

Maybe reach out to one of those charities and see if they are able to advise.

The woodland trust shop has info on lots of natives even if you don’t buy there.

    r/forestry maybe, r/gardenwild

    This is amazing, btw 🙂
