Basically seen growing wild in damp meadows, grassland and on roadsides, making it a perfect addition to the flower border and flora and fauna areas. Flowers the year after sowing. Height: 40cm(16in) Plant Class: Hardy Perennial (HP).

Sow indoors for surest results, in trays of compost. Cover very calmly with fine soil. Water well and place on a warm windowsill. A temperature of 15-20˚C (60-68˚F) is ideal. Seedlings appear in 14-42 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2″) apart to further trays when large enough to care for. (All the time care for by a leaf, never by the stem.) Step by step accustom young plants to out of doors conditions (steer clear of frosts) before planting out 25cm (10″) apart.

Or sow outdoors in a seed bed, cover very calmly with fine soil. Keep moist and weed free. Thin seedlings to 5cm (2″) apart before planting out to flowering positions in spring or autumn, spacing 25cm (10″) apart Native grown seed no longer taken from the wild
