A British native perennial herb, wild garlic may also be found at the banks of streams and in shaded wooded spaces carpeting within the ground with white flowers and their robust spring fragrance. The leaves are suitable for eating and can be utilized in salads and to flavour meat dishes and sauces. The plants produce leaves from early spring and flowers from Apr-Jun dying back in overdue summer. The plants want a moist loamy soil with a humid shady environment to grow.
